Communications, Public Relations and Writing
Wrote public awareness and advocacy articles in the Greensboro Newspaper about local nonprofit organizations for the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium.

Development and Fundraising
Coordinated development projects for Center for Visual Artists during organization’s transition by implementing an outreach campaign to establish relationships with local foundations and companies during the fall and winter of 2010. Wrote grant proposals to community, family and corporate foundations and implemented a new grants management system.
Wrote grant proposals to local foundations and associations for Guilford CARES, a mental health and substance abuse coalition.
Donor and Community Relations
Coordinated communications with donors for CORRAL during organization’s first year of operation in 2009 and 2010. Researched and wrote donor management plan, wrote acknowledgment and solicitation letters and managed the donor database.

Organizational Development and Research
Assisted Nonprofit Consultant Nancy Hunter with implementation of community-feedback portion of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro’s Strategic Plan. Assisted with focus group meetings and with researching, writing and editing of the report during fall of 2010.
Initiated a plan for students and faculty to compile report about the viability of the NCSU Arts Applications academic program and submitted report the University administration. Led a team of five students to research, gather data, interpret data and compile report addressing topics such as program structure, alumni perspectives and university-wide impact.

Program Support
Served as Interim Match Support Specialist with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Piedmont, managing and conducting regular support contact and services for more than 100 program participants during the winter of 2010.
Special Events
Coordinated annual fundraiser and exhibition attended by hundreds of patrons at Center for Visual Artists during 2008 and 2009. Secured in-kind donations, recruited vendors, executed publicity, coordinated logistics, devised thematic details, cataloged and arranged collection of 400 pieces of art to ensure success of event. Additionally, I served as a Event Coordinator for Bouvier Kelly Advertising Agency during the summer of 2010, coordinating all rooming, dining and presentation logistics for a national conference attended by 75 industry leaders.
